San Francisco, Day 3

Today was the Ultimate city tour. We also ate at Inn and Out Burger and walked to Ghiaradelli Square and had a delicious hot fudge sundae! We ate dinner at some seafood restaurant wit a beautiful of the bay. Then off for more fattening food at the square.

San Francisco, Day 2

This was really neat. They showed how old the tree was and at what stages. See, my trip was educational too!

We did the Muir Woods and Sausalito tour today. It was really neat to see the trees and that quaint town. We ate dinner at some pizza joint and double tipped the waitress that was quite close to awful. Oops!

We drove down the Pacific Ocean highway today. It was beautiful! I had never seen the pacific ocean so I had to stop and take some pictures. How pretty! We didn't make it to Carmel by the sea because of traffic, but what we did see was just beautiful! We ate dinner at Hard Rock Cafe, San Francisco at Pier 19 at Fisherman's Wharf.

I left to go to San Francisco on Friday, July 27. Mom and I were on a plane to New York City at 6:05 in the morning then off to San Francisco and arriving at 4 something out there! What a day!

We went to the Great Wolf Lodge in Williamsburg, Virginia for a ton of fun! The whole thing was a water park inside a huge hotel. The inside of the hotel had a magic game all through it where you had to wave wands and get clues. The kids thought it was the best!

We spent July 3 - July 10 in Virginia with Mark and his family. On the fourth of July, we went to a public swimming pool where the kids had a blast. So much fun, that we were all asleep by the time the fireworks even went off!

One more visit

Charity Gresham Weber came over to Mom and Dad's this morning and the kids swam and played while I visited again. I hadn't seen Charity in over a year and she brought her baby that was very cute. Charity and I went to high school together and were in band. We have stayed in touch all these years, but I have to give the majority of the credit to her. Thanks Charity, for keeping me as your friend.

Mini family reunion

We got up and went to the Hudson Ward this morning. It was nice to see the familiar faces of my Mom's ward. When we got home, Ryan and Abby were there. Logan came shortly after and we all had a nice time together. Michelle and CJ stayed for a while too and we grilled out hot dogs, hamburgers and steaks. It was so nice to be with everyone and have a good time.
Later that evening, Dyan Ballew Turncliff, a friend of mine from high school came over with her family. Her kids swam in the pool and played with my kids. I just found Dyan about a year ago. She was one of those friends that I had lost touch with after high school but that I did want to find. It was a great visit and I am glad to be back in touch with her.

The whole family played out around the pool today. Then Chris, Michelle and I went down to our reunion. There was a better turn out Saturday night then Friday (thank goodness). Several friends that I had wanted to see were there. It was great to see all of them, reconnect and reminisce about old times. You can't tell by the pictures, but I worked out very hard at the gym for 3 months to get ready for this reunion and what do I get in the pictures? I look about 7 months pregnant! Go figure...

We got all loaded up today and said goodbye to Grandpa, Grandma Kenney, Alyssa and the beach house and headed up to New Port Richey. The kids were quite excited to go to Yoo-Ma's and Papa's house. We hadn't seen them in 6 months and they have a great pool, so with that combination, you can only guess how many times I was asked if we were there yet!

I had my reunion on Friday night. It was a casual social thing from 7 - 10. There were only 7 alumni there counting Michelle and I and Michelle didn't know 4 of them. Sorry Mich. I did have a good time though. Sorry, I forgot to take picture of that.

We had a blast every morning on the beach. We would go out somewhere between 8 and 8:30 and stay out until 10:30 or so. Then, take baths and showers, have lunch and down for quiet time. Around 4, we usually went to the community pool and then back home around 6 or 6:30 for dinner. Bedtime always seemed to happen around 8:30. The kids had a busy days but seemed to love every minute of it.

We rented the wave runners this morning for two hours. One hour from the kids and me to Chris and the other hour to Chris from my parents. We all got to ride and the kids thought it was WAY COOL! Chris and I thought so too.

We hit the beach again this morning and went to see movies in the afternoon. Chris, Ryck, Carolyn, Holly and all the kids except Aislinn and Devin went to see the new Fantastic 4 movie. Then Chris, Ryck and Brennan stayed to watch the Pirates of the Caribbean 3. Brennan loved it!

This morning we all got up and went to church in Bonita Springs. We attended that ward in September when we were down and many of the people remembered us. On the way to church, we talked to Papa to wish him a Happy Father's Day. The kids and I decided to rent a waverunner for 1 hour for Chris for his Father's Day present. We had that fun on Tuesday. However, Sunday was great, and it was a nice opportunity for us to reflect on how wonderful our fathers are!

The Beach House

The kids and I drove to Ft. Myers beach today. We left around 1 p.m. with me anticipating that Aislinn would sleep for at least 2 hours. No, of course she didn't, she only took an hour nap and then was completely FUSSY the rest of the way. We stopped at a McDonald's about half of the way down and they all ate. About 30 minutes later, Aislinn threw up all in her car seat. So, off the interstate I had to go and cleaning up came right after! Not recommended!

I am standing at the Gulf of Mexico taking this picture. This house was built in the 1920's and Kenney's family has owned it since the 1970's. It is a wonderful place to vacation!

We had a 2 year old birthday party today for 4 children in our ward. Ben was 2 on the 10th, Shep on the 11th, Grace on the 13th, and Aislinn on the 16th. We just had one big party and the kids thought it was the best. We all liked it too!
